Why drain and refill
Over time the water collects debris, body oils, lotions and chemicals from the sanitising system. Despite regular filtering and cleaning, some of it builds up, and the water loses clarity and efficiency. Draining gives a fresh start.
A tub that is not regularly maintained may develop cloudy water, foul odours, skin irritation or scaling.
The process
- Drain. By pump or by opening the drain valve, depending on the tub's design.
- Clean. We scrub surfaces, clean the filters and check for signs of damage, removing built-up debris such as dirt or algae.
- Refill. With fresh water, then we check the temperature, adjust the pH balance and set chlorine, bromine and alkalinity levels correctly.
